The Future of Social Media

If you have ever seen Black Mirror, there is an episode where social media and rating is so big that it consumes their lives. For example, the girl in the episode cared so much about having above a 4.0 rating that she would only talk to certain people, eat at certain places, shop at certain places, etc. Depending on the rating you had, showed how much you had. I think this is a good example of what social media could revolve into in the future. I have already seen it evolve so much and become more and more popular. My grade loves social media but it is nothing compared to the teenagers in high school right now. I feel like the kids in high school cannot go outside without their phones and documenting everything. Some people are so obsessed with recording and taking pictures of everything. I grew up with people having flip phones and I could not imagine any of the people younger than me even owning one of those. I hope social media doesn't become too consuming and obsessive but I think right now that is the direction it is heading in.
